Fourth Kashmir bus service runs amid tight security SRINAGAR, India, May 19 (AFP) – Two buses carrying 32 passengers left Srinagar for Muzaffarabad today on the fourth trans-Kashmir bus run amid heavy security. "The buses are escorted by police and paramilitary armoured vehicles and the road has been searched for mines and booby traps," a police spokesman said. Italian mountaineer dies in Annapurna avalanche, three others injured KATHMANDU, May 19 (AFP) - An Italian mountaineer was killed and three others were injured from an avalanche on Nepal's Mount Annapurna, the world's 10t tallest peak at 8,091 meters (26,544 feet), a tourism ministry official said Thursday morning. "Christian Kuntner, 44, was killed while Abele Blanc, 52, was badly injured as the avalanche hit a 10-member Italian climbing team at 6:30 am (0100 GMT) Wednesday morning," the official said. Time ripe for Kashmir pact: Kasuri KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 (AFP) - The time is ripe for a deal between Pakistan and India on Kashmir, and the two countries should seize the opportunity to end the long-running dispute, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri said on Thursday. Six civilians shot dead in southern Afghanistan KABUL, May 19 (AFP) - Six civilians carrying a body in a vehicle were killed by suspected Taliban militants in an ambush early Thursday near Qalat in Afghanistan's southern Zabul province, police said.
