"We have had indirect contacts and things seem to be heading in the right direction."(Posted @ 00:05 PST) No agreement between Imtiaz and Arbab: Spokesman clarifies Karachi, May 15 (PPI): The press spokesman of Chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has contradicted a news item and report flashed by electronic media that some understanding and agreement had reached between Arbab Ghulam and Imtiaz Shaikh during a meeting held under Chauhdhry Shujaat Hussain's chairmanship at his residence at Islamabad.In a press release issued here on Sunday, he said that the news item is totally false and baseless while no such meeting was held at the residence of Chaudhry Shujaat.(Posted @ 21:30 PST) Bodies of 34 people found dumped in Iraq BAGHDAD, May 15 (Reuters) - Iraqi authorities said on Sunday they had discovered the bodies of 34 people who had been killed execution-style then dumped in three locations.Iraqi police said they had found the bodies of 13 people who were shot dead and left in a garbage dump in Baghdad.A police official said the handcuffed men, mostly bearded, were shot in the head and left in an area of eastern Baghdad near where 14 other corpses were recently discovered."Residents of the area called us and said a garbage truck came early this morning and dumped the bodies and we confirmed it," a police official told Reuters.Police in Iskandariya, a town in the lawless "triangle of death" area just south of Baghdad, said they found 11 bodies on Sunday. Four of the corpses had been beheaded and at least three were identified as Iraqi soldiers.On Saturday, the corpses of 10 Iraqi soldiers killed by insurgents were found in the western city of Ramadi, the defence ministry said.In a statement, it said the men had been dead for around two days. Ramadi, 110 km (68 miles) west of Baghdad, is one of the key strongholds of the insurgency in Iraq.Insurgents have killed scores of Iraqis they suspect of ties to U.S. troops or the Iraqi government and dumped their bodies. (Posted @ 13:15 PST) Suicide bombers kill five Iraqis in Baquba BAQUBA, Iraq, May 15 (Reuters) - Two suicide bombers attacked the convoy of the governor of Iraq's Diyala province in the town of Baquba on Sunday, killing three policemen and two civilians and wounding more than 20 people, police said. Governor Raad Rashid was not hurt in the attack which appeared to have been well coordinated. The attack began when a suicide car bomber blew up his vehicle in the path of the governor's convoy. Police said nobody was wounded in the first blast, but a second suicide bomber ran towards the convoy on foot and detonated an explosive belt. On Saturday, at least three suicide bombs were reported two in the northern city of Mosul and one in Baghdad. At least six people were killed in the blasts. BAGHDAD, May 15 (AFP) A British newspaper Sunday reported that Zarqawi, the man most wanted by US-led forces in Iraq, was wounded and treated briefly at a hospital in Iraq last week before he disappeared with his men. The doctor who claims to have treated him told an Iraqi reporter in the western city of Ramadi that Zarqawi was bleeding heavily when he was brought into the hospital on Wednesday, The Sunday Times reported. The doctor was able to recognize Zarqaw by photographs he had seen of him on television, the newspaper said. "He was bleeding heavily ….. I treated his injury …… Asked to register, he became agitated, and the three men with him "politely" asked he be allowed to leave, requesting a prescription and list of medication, the doctor said. The doctor, who spoke by telephone on condition of anonymity, said that Andijan's School No. 15 was guarded by soldiers. Residents of the town were coming to identify dead relatives from among the dead, who were placed in rows. In a speech late Saturday, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the report of the desecration had enraged Muslim nations. "We are saddened by the incident as it humiliated Muslims" Abdullah said such incidents happened because Muslims were economically weak.
