PESHAWAR, May 12: Speakers at the 50th annual prize distribution ceremony of the junior section of the University Model School here on Thursday urged teachers to focus on character-building of the students. “Students are our hope for future and we are responsible for preparing them to meet challenges ahead, said Sher Bahadar Khan, the registrar of the University of Peshawar.

He urged the students to pursue their studies and also take an active part in extracurricular activities, so that they could grow mentally as well as physically.

Earlier, some students presented tableaux, recited Naats and sang national anthem.

Later, the university registrar gave away prizes to the students of junior classes for excellent performance in the session 2003-04 and Rs1,000 prize each to two students for reciting Naats.
