SWABI, May 5: The patron-in-chief and president of the Abaseen Union of Journalists, Mohammed Farooq and Jalil Ahmed Khan, and president of the Swabi Union of journalists, Arif Shah, have criticized the government for the mistreatment meted out to journalists when they were holding peaceful rallies to mark the Press Freedom Day. They said the baton-charge on journalists had exposed the government’s policy on the freedom of the press.—Correspondent
