ISLAMABAD, April 20: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Wednesday directed PIA to improve its efficiency. The prime minister was talking to the newly-appointed PIA chairman, Tariq Kirmani, who had called on him at the Prime Minister House. The national flag carrier needed to be run in line with global aviation trends, Mr Aziz said and expressed the hope that the new chief would improve reliability, safety and service.

The PIA chief apprised Mr Aziz about his vision and the plans he wanted to implement.

Mr Kirmani assured the prime minister that he would work for the improvement of PIA to provide better service to passengers.
