KARACHI, April 20: A batch of 156 Pakistani fishermen, released from Indian jails and handed over to Pakistani authorities at Wahga on Tuesday, arrived here on Wednesday. According to an official of the Fishermen Cooperative Society, the fishermen had been brought here from Lahore on board three buses arranged by the Society.
Earlier, the released fishermen, residents of Ibrahim Hyderi, Shamspir, Baba Bhit, Keti Bandar, etc., were received by Mr Iqbal Ahmed Mahar of the FCS at Wahga.
They remained in Indian jails for one year after being detained by Indian security agencies for straying into Indian waters.
