Doctors threaten protest

MIRAMSHAH (North Waziristan), April 10: The doctors of the Afghan refugees health project have warned that they will observe a hunger strike against the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees if their grievances are not redressed. Speaking at a meeting of the health staff here on Sunday, Dr Mohammad Asif Habibzai said that the world refugee body had revised allocations for the staff working on similar projects in Balochistan, but the doctors and other staff in the agency had not received salaries since Jan 2005.—Correspondent
