KARACHI, April 9: The Administrator of Defence Housing Authority, Brig Maqsood Hussain, has asked the DHA staff to serve the residents with a sense of dedication and positive attitude to resolve their problems effectively.
He was addressing a ‘Darbar congregation’ of the DHA employees held at the lawns of Defence Housing Authority’s main office here on Saturday.
The administrator emphasized that the residents must get priority in all the DHA’s undertakings and impressed upon the DHA staff to work in a professional manner to achieve benchmark standards in housing, community living and civic services.
He stressed that the sense of responsibility, punctuality and dedication to duty should be the hallmark of the organization.
He said students in the DHA educational institutions besides academics should be provided ample opportunities for sports and outdoor activities for their grooming.
Upon the popular demand of the teachers of the DHA educational institutions for giving Saturday off to them, the administrator said the existing arrangement ensured better overall coordination and afforded opportunity for effective academic planning as such their demand for holiday could not be acceded to.
He also announced that newly inducted teachers would be made to undergo 6 months teachers training in renowned institutions.
Brig Maqsood said the newly upgraded DHA Medical Centre with modern equipment and 24 hours doctors’ availability would ensure provision of better medical care facilities for the DHA employees and the residents.
He concluded by reminding the DHA staff of their outstanding achievements and accomplishments of the past. — APP
