Park in Nazimabad opened

KARACHI, March 28: Naib Nazim Tariq Hasan on Monday inaugurated the Hameed Shah Park in Union Council No 11 of Liaquatabad Town.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, he said that due to unprecedented development works carried out by the city government, the face of Karachi was changing. He assured that the efforts to develop the city would continue.

Tariq Hasan said that there was a visible betterment in every district.

Earlier, Senior Presiding Officer Muslim Pervez said that the parks developed by the city government were a historical gift to the citizens of Karachi. He said that now it was the responsibility of area residents to take care of these parks through their own administrative bodies.

He suggested that the area people should set up their own administrative committee to manage the affairs of the new park.

UC Nazim Goharul Islam told the gathering that the park was named after its gardener, Hameed Shah. Liaquatabad Town Naib Nazim Shahabuddin also spoke on the occasion.
