MULTAN, March 27: Dimithri Siriwardena became the third century-maker of the match when he hit 117 on the last day of the second and final Under-19 Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

As expected, the match ended in a tame draw and the series 0-0 after the first Test in Karachi also failed to produce a conclusive result in favour of either team.

Sri Lanka declared their second innings at 265 for four after resuming on the fourth morning at the overnight score of 116 for two. The highlight being Siriwardena’s 266-ball knock that included eight boundaries. Sri Lankan skipper Harsha Vithana and Pakistan’s Arsalan Anwar were the other two batsmen to score centuries.

Pakistan batted out the remaining time to reach 112 for three as the impossible target of 331 was always beyond them.
