TNFJ chief for improving law, order situation

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, March 20: Tehrik Nafaz Fiqh-i-Jafaria (TNFJ) Chief Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has asked the government to make special arrangements and improve the law and order situation on the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). Speaking at the central cabinet of the Tehrik which concluded here, the TNFJ chief expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the government during Muharram.

He appreciated the authorities concerned for setting up control rooms in the Centre and the provinces. Mr Moosavi said Azadari programmes would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal.

He called upon the government to protect the rights of all schools of thought on the basis of equality, and implement the May 21, 1985, Junejo-Moosavi agreement. Condemning what he termed the US aggression on Iraq after Afghanistan and threats to Syria and Iran, the TNFJ chief said Organization of Islamic Conference never carried out any practical efforts to resolve issues confronted by the Muslim world.
