KARACHI, March 20: Three persons died and a woman was injured in separate road accidents on Sunday. A four-year-old boy fell victim to the reckless driving of two minibuses in New Karachi Industrial Area on Sunday. Police said that Mohammad Faiz was crossing the main road when two speeding minibuses of route N, knocked him down. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Later, the body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. On the National Highway, a young cyclist died in an accident. Police said that Mehmood, 18, and his friend Yasir were going on a cycle when a coach hit them near FAST institute. Mehmood died on the spot while his friend Yasir was injured. The wounded boy was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital. Police arrested the errant driver and impounded the coach.

In Quaidabad, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident. Police said that Dildar, 40, was crossing the busy intersection when he was hit by a speeding vehicle near Quaidabad. His body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy.

In Khokrapar, a speeding minibus of F-1 route hit and injured a woman. Soon afterwards, some enraged people of the area set the minibus on fire and gave the driver a severe beating. The victim was shifted to hospital for treatment.
