Musharraf says why A Q Khan alone: ISLAMABAD, March 04: President Pervez Musharraf has said Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has not passed complete information, he passed some parts, he may have passed some centrifuges to Iran but that this is not all. The Iranians developed their programme through assistance from the west not from Dr. A.Q. Khan. The president said let us see the entire issue in a very wholesome prospective. Why blame Pakistan alone? The President said this in an interview with an English Daily of Islamabad. The offer to purchase missiles, rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns is aimed at defusing tension in South Waziristan. Afghanistan set for parliamentary vote in September: KABUL, March 4: Afghanistan's long-delayed first post-Taliban parliamentary polls are likely to be held in mid-September, a source close to the electoral commission told AFP today. The vote has been put off repeatedly during the past eight months and hopes that it would take place in April or May have been dashed due to problems with politics, logistics and security. "We are really on a September timetable now," the source said, adding that the electoral commission had put forward its latest proposal to Afghan President Hamid Karzai's cabinet session on Monday. Sharon "is a war criminal who should be in prison, not in office", he wrote, saying that even an Israeli commission had blamed the prime minister for deadly massacres at Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. Troops have been battling a combined force of Abu Sayyaf rebels and armed followers of a jailed Moslem rebel leader on Jolo island, since February 7, displacing more than 40,000 civilians."As a result of the sustained operations, the terrorists have broken up into smaller groups and are on the run," Arroyo said. "The terrorists shall not be given any chance to re-group and to launch further terrorist attacks against our communities."
