KARACHI, Feb 27: The PIA in a timely action saved the life of a six-year-old girl travelling on its flight PK-785 from Islamabad to London when she suddenly went into coma.

The flight had taken off from Islamabad airport at 10:45am and the girl Soofia Zehra was on board along with her father Akbar Hussain. After three and a half hours, the girl went into coma.

Since there was no doctor on board among the passengers, the flight captain was informed about the condition of the girl. At that time, the aircraft was flying near Kazakhstan. The captain diverted the flight and after getting permission from control landed at Aklyubinsk airport at 3:10pm.

The girl was provided immediate medical aid at the airport. When her condition stablized she was allowed to travel and the plane took off at 7pm and reached London. -APP
