PESHAWAR: 3 foreigners killed in Waziristan

PESHAWAR, Feb 18: Three foreigners were killed and another escaped when aman opened fire on them in the Hisukhel village, three kilometres to the west of Mirali town in the North Waziristan Agency on Thursday.

According to sources, two of the three men died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital. Two of them were Tajiks, while the third was Arab, they said.

The assailant, who was reported to be wearing a mask, had attacked the four foreigners in the Hisukhel area. Three of them received bullets, while the fourth one, who escaped unhurt, chased the attacker but failed to capture him.

However, intelligence officials said the three foreigners had been shot dead by their fourth colleague after a dispute. He opened fire on his three colleagues and escaped towards the Zeraki village, the officials said.
