KARACHI, Feb 12: Students belonging to more than 14 universities and colleges, including Karachi University and the NED University of Engineering, took part in an inter-university debate contest held at the Institute of Business Management.

The topics of the English and Urdu debates were "Willpower overrules the fate" and "Talba ko siyasat say alag rehna chahye". Four of the IoBM students introduced the two topics and spoke in favour and against the proposal.

The winners of the English debate were Maliha of ICAP (Ist), Basim Wahid of Comecs (2nd) and Saad Bin Jamil of the DHA College for Men (third). The first, second and third prize winners of the Urdu debate were Zeeshan Tariq of Greenwich University, Aniqa Rais of Sir Syed University and Faraz Nasir of Fast respectively.
