Reports said a police team, headed by a sub-inspector, raided a house and arrested proclaimed offenders - Allah Ditta and Sanobar Ali. The police team was on its way with the POs when a group of villagers, some women among them, attacked it and rescued the criminals.

Later, Dijkot police arrested four villagers Saleem, Amin, Zainab and Haleema after the registration of a case against them. The POs, however, are still at large.

MNA: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sadaqatullah Khan has issued a letter to the National Assembly speaker to ensure appearance of MNA Amjad Ali Warriach in court on Feb 18.

The court on Tuesday observed that the MNA from Gojra was summoned several times during the last four years for his involvement in a case No 139/2004 registered with Saddar police station. But he had failed to appear despite the fact that warrants for his arrest had been issued.
