DADU, Feb 7: Six people were killed and 20 others were injured in a head-on collision between a car and a wagon at the Sann bus stand, 100 kilometres off here, early Monday morning.

The passenger wagon was on way to Hyderabad when it collided with the car, carrying the family of former MPA Munawar Ahmad Butt.

Five occupants of the car and one of the wagon died in the accident. They were identified as Thariri Mohabat Union Council Naib Nazim Javed Ahmad, Gulshad, daughter of Ghulam Rasool Butt, Afshan, daughter of Javed Ahmad Butt, a child, Tania, daughter of Nisar Ahmad Butt, and district attorney general and law EDO Ghulam Ali But, son of Abdul Razzaq. The name of one victim could not be ascertained.

The injured, including Salim, Imtiaz, Ayaz, Abdul Rahim, Yousuf, Azhar, Bushra, Sajjad, Adnan, Ali Bux, Ghulam Hyder, Shafi Mohammad, Mir Mohammad, Aijaz and Abdul Hayee, were taken to the Sehwan Taluka Hospital and the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Hospital.

The bodies of Butt family members were taken to their native town Mehar in Edhi ambulances. The Sann police have impounded the vehicles.
