KARACHI, Feb 7: Senior Minister for Finance Syed Sardar Ahmed on Monday presided over a meeting to resolve problems being faced by new districts.

The minister issued orders for the release of funds, setting up of offices and deployment of staff in the new districts. He recommended provision of Rs5 million for all four new districts and issued directives for the setting up of treasury offices in each of them.

He said that the matter of distributing share among the new districts from old ones would be presented in the Provincial Finance Award for approval before implementation of the distribution process.

Syed Sardar Ahmed directed the Board of Revenue, Local Government Department and the Services & General Administration Department to fulfil their responsibilities in resolving the problems being faced by the new districts.-APP
