ISLAMABAD, Jan 24: Pakistan along with other developing countries will raise the issue of deeper cuts in domestic support and subsidies on agriculture products by developed countries in the next two WTO mini-ministerial meetings.
An official told Dawn on Monday that the first mini-ministerial meeting scheduled for January 29 in Davos would discuss the progress so far made in the July framework agreement.
Pakistan will be represented by Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan. The meeting would be followed by another mini-ministerial meeting to be held in Agra, New Delhi, on February 19-20.
This meeting would be particularly important for G-20 member countries to discuss their agenda to be followed during the current round of negotiations to be concluded by end of the current year.
