QUETTA: Jobless youths end hunger strike

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Jan 20: The jobless engineers and agriculture graduates, who were on hunger strike unto death since January 15, ended their protest on the assurance of a provincial minister who said that the next cabinet meeting would resolve the unemployment issue.

The condition of four hunger strikers was worsening when provincial revenue minister Mir Asim Kurd visited their camp on behalf of Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf to resolve their problem.

The minister assured the protesters that the cabinet meeting would be held soon after Eidul Azha to discuss the unemployment matter. He added that jobless engineers and agriculture graduates would be accommodated in different departments and water management programmes.
