BANGALORE, Jan 12: A tsunami warning system that India has decided to install will be in place in the next two to three years and will cost the government 27 million dollars, a minister said on Wednesday.
"The system would be able to provide information beforehand on the speed of the tsunami when it hits the coast and the regions that would be harmed the most, among others," Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal told reporters here. -AFP
