Market access

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 10: Federal Minister for Textile Industry Mushtaq Ali Cheema said on Monday that government was working on a strategy to increase market access for textile products in the world market.

He was leaving for Germany to attend the inauguration ceremony of International Exhibition scheduled to be commenced from January 12 in Frankfurt. An official announcement said that he would inspect the textile pavilion of the exhibition where many Pakistani textile exporters have set up their stalls for introduction of Pakistani textile products for foreign buyers.

During his stay in Germany, the minister would hold meetings with his counterpart and business community to discuss matters relating to textile export and problems facing by Pakistani exporters.

The minister expressed the hope that Pakistani export would increase by 30 per cent or more as we have good demand in the international market. He said that joint efforts were needed by private and public sector as this was challenge for our textile industry and textile exporters.
