KARACHI: Man found dead in Korangi

KARACHI, Jan 7: Body of a middle-aged man, with his throat slit, was found at a derelict place in Korangi Industrial Area on Friday.

Police said the victim was identified as Wilson, 55, and his body was found from Gabol Goth. The victim was a resident of Kashmir Colony, Mehmoodabad and had been missing since the last three days. Police shifted the body to JPMC for autopsy.

ACCIDENT: An elderly man died in a road accident on Superhighway on Friday. Mohammad Fareed, 60, was crossing the road near Amin Colony when a speeding vehicle knocked him down. The accident occurred near Galla Mandi. Police shifted the body to Abbasi Hospital for legal formalities.

ROBBERY: An FIR regarding a robbery has been lodged eight days after the incident in the North Nazimabad police station on Friday. Family sources said that four armed bandits broke into the house of Dr Sher Mohammad on December 28, held the inmates hostage at gunpoint and escaped with cash and gold ornaments in North Nazimabad. The physician went to the police station where he was asked to submit an application, but FIR was not registered.
