ISLAMABAD, Jan 6: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Thursday gave a call for observing countrywide protest on Friday against President Pervez Musharraf's decision not to shed his military uniform.

A protest rally will be held at Aabpara Chowk after Friday prayers at 1:45pm, said Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab deputy chief and MNA from Islamabad Mian Mohammad Aslam after a meeting of the district office-barriers.

He said protest demonstrations would be held in all cities on every Friday this month. "Imams and Khateebs in their sermons would also inform the people about President Musharraf's un-Islamic, pro-US and un- constitutional steps," he said.
