PESHAWAR: Regular jobs demanded

By Our Correspondent

PESHAWAR, Dec 22: Class-IV employees of the education department working on fixed salaries have urged the government to regularize their services.

A press release issued here on Wednesday said that all Class-IV employees demanded that their services should be regularized in line with the government's decision of regularizing all contract employees.

They said that they had been working since 1992 and were being paid only Rs2,800. Besides, they were not treated even as contract employees. They claimed that at times they were not paid regular salaries.

They said that they would go on strike and stage a sit-in in front of the provincial assembly building if their demands were not considered, the press release said.
