LSE polls today

LAHORE, Dec 17: The election of five directors of the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) for the year 2005 will take place on Saturday.

The 11 candidates allowed to contest the election include sitting chairman Syed Asim Zafar, Syed Mohammad Ismael Abbasi, Gul Abdullah Dhami, Gulfam Ahmed Khan, Tariq Zaheer Sheikh, Chaudhry Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Suhail Dayala, Mohammad Faisal Potrik, Eng.

Mazhar Rafiq, Arif Majid Chaudhry and Wasiullah Khan. It may be noted that 16 people had filed their nominations. Four of them withdrew their papers on Wednesday and another was disqualified for contesting the election.
