Pakistan against arms race: FO

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12: Pakistan on Sunday reiterated that it was against arms race in the region and stressed the need for effective nuclear and conventional confidence-building measures to establish durable peace and stability.

Speaking at a private TV channel, foreign office spokesman Masood Khan said that Pakistan and India were holding dialogue on nuclear and conventional arms issues here on Dec 14-15.

He said foreign ministry officials and military authorities from both sides would participate in talks and added that both countries would consider finalizing a manuscript of an agreement under which they would inform each before going for any ballistic missile test. -APP
