Pakistani trio triumph

LAHORE, Dec 12: The Pakistan trio of Shahid Haider, Fareed Bajwa and Robert Scote won the Ambassadors Golf Cup with a total net score of 217 at Royal Palm course on Sunday.

At 220, Japaneses team comprising Gen Tariq, Max Babri and Aamir Sehrazi earned second spot. Two strokes away, Canada won the third spot. Team members were Margerete Huber, Tony Corneky, Adnan Tahir and Evageles Garoks.

In individual section, Shahid Haider won the net trophy with a score of 102 while General Mohammad Tariq was second with a score of 110 and Tony Corneky third at 113.

Fakhar Imam was the best in gross section with a score of 115. Shahid Haider hit the longest drive of 275 yards.
