DADU, Dec 12: The SHO of the Tariri Muhabat police station and two bandits were killed on the spot and three constables were injured and two kidnapped persons were recovered after an encounter in the village of Bambhrion in the hilly belt of Dadu district, some 120 kms away from here on Sunday night.

The SHO, Inspector Murtaza Memon, and dacoits Bahadur Chhabro and Ali Gohar Sakhani were killed on the spot. The two persons freed from the bandits are Zafar Ali Pario, son of SI Mohammad Anwar Pario and Qamaruddin Mallah, son of Pario Mallah. They had been kidnapped from village Jeheja Pur of Taluka K.N. Shah on Saturday night.

The encounter was going on till the filling of the report. The D.P.O. (Operation), Dadu, Javed Alam Odho, D.P.O. (Investigation) Tipu Sultan, T.P.O. Head Quarter Mohammad Rajub Lashari, T.P.O. Mehar Gul Baig Jatoi were leading the operation.

The body of the SHO Murtaza Memon was brought to the Civil Hospital, Dadu, and those of the dacoits were lying in K.N. Shah.
