HARIPUR: Two shot dead

HARIPUR, Dec 12: A feud between two families claimed two lives in Ghazi area on Saturday. Police said Barkat Zaman, son of Aman Khan, and his relative Miskeen Ali, son of Ali Khan, were waiting for a bus to go to the Ghazi court to attend the hearing of a murder case when they were attacked by two men.

The assailants opened fire on them with sophisticated weapons, killing Miskeen Ali on the spot. Barkat Zaman was injured and he died later at the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. The victims were accused in the murder of one Waris Khan.

ACCIDENT: An Afghan boy was killed when he was hit by a car on the Sirikot Road on Sunday. Police said Gul Khan, 14, son of Afreed Khan, of Afghan camp No.11, Haripur, was on his way to his home when a speeding car hit and injured him. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital but he bled to death. The driver escaped.
