ISLAMABAD, Dec 12: The two-day unique home and lifestyles show, with more than 130 stalls offering inspiration and temptation of different kinds to an estimated 300,000 people, concluded successfully at the Jinnah Convention Centre here on Sunday evening.

Organized by the Dawn Group of Newspapers, the third "All About Lifestyles 2004" exhibition in the capital offered something for everyone, ranging from a spectacular finest pedigreed 'dog show' to a hot-air balloon flight in the clouds in the backdrop of music explosion.

After the sunset, the party mood took over the venue and boys chose their own way to party and performed what looked like English dance steps. Those with no specialized knowledge of dance let go of their free spirits and performed something like 'bhangra' on western rock in front of the City FM 89 stall.

The sustenance needs of the inner man or woman were not forgotten with the food court catering to an appetising range of meals while the bookstalls catered to the quest for knowledge.

Estimates gathered from the entry points showed that some 300,000 fun loving denizens of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad thronged the Convention Centre to know "All About Lifestyles-2004." The number of people who flocked the venue in just two days surpassed the total who visited the previous two exhibitions.

Both the organizers as well as the participants felt that the visitor turnout had crossed all expectations. They attributed it to the large scale publicity that the show had received and the interest that was generated due to extensive exhibitor participation in the event offering discounts and a range of products.

A long queue of people, starting from the entrance of the exhibition till the gates of the Convention Centre, could be seen till late chilly December nights on both the days.

However, Sunday saw families, boys and girls and people from all walks of life flock to the exhibition site to see what the contemporary lifestyle had to offer. True to typical Pakistani lifestyle, highlight of the event was the food. Delicious and spicy local specialities, Chinese and fast food were on offer to tantalise the taste buds.
