Militant leader killed in Valley


SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Indian troops killed three Mujahideen including a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen group, police said on Saturday.

A senior divisional commander of the group was shot dead by Indian troops during an encounter in Dangal Kashtigarh village in southern Doda district, said a police spokesman.

"Abdul Hamid headed a list of most wanted militants in south Kashmir," the spokesman said.

Two other Hizbul Mujahideen activists were shot dead in Baramulla and Anantnag.-AFP
