PESHAWAR, Dec 10: The fifth Fiqhi Conference on "modern scientific discoveries and related Fiqhi problems" begin here on Saturday. Chief Minister Muhammad Akram Khan Durrani will open the conference at the Auqaf Hall on the Charsadda Road.
"Scholars, researchers, doctors and engineers will read out papers on modern discoveries and Fiqhi problems, emerged due to discoveries," MNA Syed Naseeb Ali Shah told journalists here at a news conference.
Mr Shah said the conference would have five sessions and a committee of ulema and researchers from around the country would present their recommendations to solve these problems.
He said modern discoveries had led to a number of problems, which needed to be resolved through injunctions of Islam. "The Muslims are faced with a number of challenges after revolutionary changes in modern times and they are in contact with ulema to find ways to face these challenges in accordance with the teachings of Islam," he said.
He said the conference would provide an opportunity to ulema and scholars to find solutions to these problems through mutual discussions and consultations. He said the conference would put an end to confusions, doubts and suspicions about Islamic values that had been under discussions for a few years.
