KARACHI: BCom exams from 9th


KARACHI, Dec 7: The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced that annual examinations of BCom (private/regular) parts I, II, and both old and new courses, will commence on December 9.

About 16,331 male and 6,053 female candidates are expected to appear in part I (New Course) while 11,731 and 4,225 female candidates would appear in part II. Similarly, 1,692 male and 72 female candidates were expected to appear in the regular part I (Old Course) 1,089 male and 109 female candidates in part II.

A total of 36 exam centres had been setup, which include 13 colleges for female candidates and 23 departments at the University of Karachi for male candidates. To make the examination process transparent, a high-power committee has been formed under the supervision of a senior professor on the directives of KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, which would monitor the exam process at all centres.

The timing of exams of parts I and II, old course, will be from 9am to 12 noon, and those of parts I and II, new course, will be from 2pm to 5pm excluding Friday. Timings for Friday will be from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. - PPI
