Traditional gifts for Indian leaders

NEW DELHI, Nov 23: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has taken traditional gifts of shehrwani, khoosas and rehwaris (sweets) for his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh. He will meet him at the Hyderabad House here on Wednesday afternoon.

A special load of gifts to be presented to other Indian leaders include carpets, silverware and onyx items. A silver bowl will be presented to former prime minster Atal Behari Vajpayee and a saree to his adopted daughter.

National Congress Party leader Sonia Gandhi will be given a saree. President Musharraf gifted Manmohan Singh a painting of his village in Chakwal district when he met him in New York in September.
