LANDI KOTAL: Two held for kidnapping

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Nov 20: The Bara political authorities on Saturday arrested two outlaws in different raids. The two - Umer Khan Zakhakhel and Hayat Gul - were wanted to the Khyber Agency administration in a number of kidnapping cases.

Umer Khan Zakhakhel confessed to his involvement in the kidnapping of an air force engineer, Zahid Ali, and a resident of Kohat, Imran Paracha, along with his driver.

The air force engineer Zahid Ali has not yet been recovered while Imran Paracha and his driver had escaped from the captivity of their abductors two weeks ago.

According to sources in the Bara tehsil offices, Hayat Gul was involved in the kidnapping of Dr Sarwar Shah, a dentist. He was kidnapped from Danishabad in Peshawar on Oct 12, 2004.

The doctor still remains traceless. The Bara political authorities handed over both the arrested men to the CIA for investigation.
