DERA GHAZI KHAN, Nov 17: The old cemetery, which is better known as Gora Qabristan, is being vanalized by some people who are digging the graves for picking material for use.

The cemetery, stretching over nine kanal and 13 marlas, is situated on the western side of the old vanished city and is considered to be the only remnant of the old city. It remained in its actual shape and condition till the early 1970s.

The local Christian community of the new city have tried to halt the illegal and unethical practice of the influential people, but they have not succeeded so far. A resident of Rakh Chawani area told this correspondent on the request of anonymity that the local councillor and his brother were involved in this illegal practice as they are cultivating land over the graves.
