KARACHI, Nov 7: The Inspector General of Police, Sindh, Syed Kamal Shah, has urged public transport owners to arrange formal training for their drivers, which will help reduce traffic accidents.

He was talking to a six-member delegation of the Muttahida Qabail Ittehad and dumper operators that called on him at the Central Police Office, said a press release on Sunday.

The Sindh IGP said that rash driving was the main cause behind the loss of precious lives.

He asked the chief city police officer to hold regular sessions with all representative organizations of transporters in the city to formulate a strategy for a smooth and safe transport operation.

Under this strategy, driving tests of public transport drivers should be held, and due arrangement should be made for their training. - APP
