By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 5: The opposition in Sindh Assembly on Friday filed a requisition for summoning the session to deliberate on the situation resulting from the involvement of Rangers in fishing in the coastal waters of Badin and Thatta districts.

The requisition initiated by the Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians has also been supported by the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal's parliamentary party chief who was among the 43 signatories.

Its objective was to discuss the problem that had arisen by the alleged victimization of fishermen by the rangers. In Sindh, the requisition being moved under Article 54(3) was aimed at discussing the unrest caused amongst the fishermen of the coastal areas of Badin and Thatta districts due to alleged harassment and illegal actions by the rangers.
