Hyderabad and Sialkot tie drawn

LAHORE, Oct 31: Test discard opener Imran Nazir of Sialkot piled pressure on Hyderabad in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match on the final day which eventually ended in a draw at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday.

Hyderabad who had conceded a slender 30-run lead in the first innings, set Sialkot a winning target of 291 after scoring 321 for all in the second innings after resuming at 193-3 thanks to fine batting by Shahid Qambrani (91, nine fours one six, 176 balls) and Rizwan Ahmed (73, eight fours, one six, 117 balls) who also collected 204 runs in the fourth wicket partnership.

Sialkot accepted the challenge and Imran led from the front scoring 106 (18 fours, three sixes, 94 balls). But Sialkot met a batting collapse after Imran went out as they slid from 210-4 to 249-8.

Sialkot were 252 for eight when the scheduled time concluded.
