Fahad, younger brother of Test batsman Faisal Iqbal, held the innings together with 115 off 169 balls after Multan opted to field first. His 248-minute innings included 17 fours and one six. Asadullah Sumairi (49 off 90 balls, four fours) helped Fahad put on 118 for the fifth wicket.

Waqas Haroon and Asad Butt were the other batsman to shine. Waqas made a stroke-filled 40. He hammered seven boundaries during his 55-ball knock.

Asad Butt chipped in with 44 off 81 balls with four hits to the fence.

Off-spinner Sohaib Maqsood captured four for 41 while pacemen Mohsin Sadiq took three for 51.
