NAWABSHAH, Oct 12: Students of the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering and Technology, belonging to the Sindh People's Student Federation and Jeay Sindh Students Federation, held a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday to protest against university administration and deployment of Rangers.

Led by Lala Riaz, Zulfiqar Jatoi and Saleem Chandio, the students, while protesting against deployment of Rangers personnel in educational institutions, alleged that they were checked very thoroughly by the law enforcers. They warned that if the search practice was not stopped, they would continue their protest indefinitely.

KILLED: A villager, Qadir Bux Kalhoro, 36, was axed to death by four attackers in Mir Mohammad Junejo village near Jam Saheb on Monday. The motive behind the murder is stated to be an old enmity. The Jam Sahib police have registered a case against four accused.
