ISLAMABAD, Oct 7: The touring Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Islamabad on Thursday from Karachi ahead of their tri series double-header against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi.

The Islanders, who lost to Pakistan by eight wickets in their first match of the competition on Wednesday, will play Zimbabwe on Saturday and then again on Monday. Both matches are to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

By virtue of their victory on Wednesday, Pakistan qualified for the Oct 16 final of the tournament while the Sri Lankans need to win at least one of their two upcoming games to make the final.

While the Zimbabweans have had a good feel of the conditions at the Rawalpindi Stadium since arriving on Monday, the Sri Lankans will have their first look at the venue on Friday morning.
