GUJRAT, Sept 21: Unidentified kidnappers murdered the teenage son of an expatriate even after taking Rs2.9 million ransom. Saddar police said the kidnappers reportedly demanded Rs3 million ransom for the release of Aitzaz Qalandar alias Bobby Shah of Seedhari village.

The family paid Rs2.9 million to the kidnappers at a place in Lahore but they murdered him and threw his body in Sargodha. Police claimed that a team had been sent to Sargodha for the recovery of the body.

Police had registered a case on Sept 14 on the complaint of Anjum, the cousin of the slain youth, but failed to recover the youth. The father of the youth has been living in Greece.

TRADER KIDNAPPED: A trader was kidnapped for ransom from Bhimber Road. Ghulam Haider of Shergarh was on his way when he was kidnapped. Sources close to the family claimed that the family had received a call from the kidnappers who had demanded a huge amount as ransom. No case has so far been registered.
