KARACHI, Sept 21: As many as 14,097 male candidates have been placed for admissions to first year pre-engineering, session 2004-05, at 55 city government colleges and higher secondary schools under the Centralized Admission Policy.

Releasing the list on Tuesday, Chairman, CAP Prof Raees Alvi said all applicants could not be placed and some 1,369 of them would be placed in commerce and arts faculties.

Admission merit was also seen to have decreased at many colleges including at the Adamjee Govt Science College, Govt Delhi College, Govt College Stadium Road, Govt Degree College Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Govt College Malir Cant, St Patrick's College, Govt College for Men, National College and SM Science College. The opening and closing marks for admissions at various colleges and higher secondary schools are:
