By Our Correspondent

WANA, Sept 17: Militants attacked security forces and paramilitary convoys in different parts of South Waziristan on Friday, leaving five civilians wounded, reports said.

The militants fired two rockets on the Wana Scouts Camp early in the morning. Security forces returned fire. Locals said that artillery shells fired from the scouts camp hit three houses in nearby area.

A man, Miraj Khan, and his four-year-old daughter, Tamila, were injured. They were taken to hospital where the girl's condition was stated to be serious. A paramilitary convoy came under attack in Kaniguram. Three passers-by were wounded.
