Five of a family die in explosion

GUJRAT, Sept 12: Five members of a family were killed and six others injured critically in a fireworks explosion in Mohallah Kashmir Nagar of Jalalpur Jattan early Sunday morning.

The incident took place in the house of Mohammad Khan, who reportedly prepares fireworks. Reports said Mohammad Khan had stocked a huge quantity of explosives in his house.

At about 3am, the roofs of three rooms blew up due to a fireworks explosion. House owner's wife Bashiran Bibi, son Afzal and three relatives Majid, Amjad and Suleman died on the spot and six others sustained injuries. The injured were admitted to the DHQ Hospital in a critical condition.
