Uniform not common man's issue: Afgan

By Correspondent

MIANWALI, Sept 12: Federal Minister for Law and Parliament-ary Affairs Dr Sher Afgan Khan has said that the constitution has allowed President General Pervez Musharraf to remain in uniform up to his discretion.

Talking to newsmen in "Meet the Press" programme arranged by District Press Club here on Sunday, he said the uniform was not the issue of the common people but some politicians for their vested interests had been trying to make it an issue.

He called upon the people not to pay any attention to the opposition's calls to come out on roads. He claimed that the economy was boosting and the government had spread a network of development projects throughout the country to provide relief to the common man.
