KARACHI, Sept 7: Belgian Ambassador to Pakistan Patrick X Renault has urged upon the businessmen of his country to invest in Pakistan which offers a lot of incentives to foreign investors.
Accompanied with a 15-member Pakistan-Belgium Business Forum (PBBF) delegation presently on visit to Belgium, Mr Renault drew the attention of the business community of his country towards tremendous improvement in Pakistan's economic situation.
He said that there was a time when Pakistan had foreign exchange reserves only enough for 2-3 weeks imports but now its reserves have gone up to give cover to one full year imports.
The delegation on Monday was given a reception by Walloon Export Agency (AWEX) Director Charles Delhaye at its Brussels headquarters. Mr Delhaye appreciated that AWEX could count on PBBF to play its role in realizing this potential for further growth of trade between the two countries.
According to a message received here on Tuesday several useful contacts were made by the Pakistani trade delegation having potential to transform into joint ventures.
